Straight, properly aligned teeth are not only attractive, they are healthier and more comfortable. Crooked teeth and an improper bite can lead to long-term dental issues that can become painful and expensive to fix. This is why Dr. Peter Russo is proud to offer the Invisalign system of removable, clear teeth aligners for patients in South Yarmouth, MA. Custom made for your teeth and your specific needs, Invisalign aligners are more attractive and comfortable than traditional metal orthodontics since they can be removed to make eating and brushing your teeth much easier. "The best staff. So professional and helpful!!"- T.D. / Facebook / May 26, 2021
"After more than 6 months, Aspen Dental could not make my dentures fit. I fired them and chose the closest dentist to my home. It was Bass River.... after going toothless for so long and making so many trips to Aspen for adjustments that did nothing, I had lost hope. Dr Pete and crew not only managed to make my dentures wearable but they laugh at my jokes too! Thanks"- M.S. / Google / May 01, 2021
"As a new patient I found It was a wonderful, homey, friendly, down to earth office. Felt very comfortable and well cared for. The office staff, Dr. Russo and my hygienist Kelly Holland were terrific. She was thorough, professional, knowledgeable and kind. It was a very positive experience all around. Would recommend this dental office with no reservations."- J.C. / Google / Apr 30, 2021
"The best experience I’ve had with a dental clinic in a very long time. From reception to the hygienist- which she did the most comprehensive and deep cleaning of my teeth EVER. The dentist is easy going and skilled. Very pleasant experience even through extractions. The dental assistant is so efficient that the doctor rarely has to ask for something. She has it in hand before he has to. Unlike my last dentist who had to ask (seemingly unassured) what he needed next. Sometimes leaving me alone to search for what was needed from another room. I’m very happy I have found #bassriverdental @bassriverdental to restore the multiple problems my last dentist left me with. They also take dental insurance !!! Great experience all around. There are many factors that can determine your teeth alignment: genetics, thumbsucking as a child, the loss of a tooth or teeth, and traumatic accidents to the face. The misalignment of your teeth can lead to other oral health problems, including dental malocclusion (a bad bite), abnormal enamel wear, trouble speaking and chewing, as well as toothaches and jaw pain. If any of these problems are noticed during your dental exam, an orthodontic option like Invisalign treatment may be recommended.
The Invisalign system can be ideal for both adults and teens who want straighter teeth without the pain, hassle, and appearance of braces. While they do need to be worn for most of the time, Invisalign aligners can be taken out for eating and brushing your teeth, as well as for special events and playing sports. Far more discreet than metal braces that cut and poke the inside of the mouth, most people will usually not be able to tell that you are wearing your Invisalign trays.
What To Expect
Your first set of Invisalign trays will be created using digital impressions at Bass River Dental. Once they are ready, you will return to get your first sets along with care instructions. You will need to wear your aligners at least 20 – 22 hours each day for the system to be effective, ideally removing them only for eating and cleaning. Over time, you will move to the next set of aligners as they gently move your teeth into their proper position. You will need to schedule follow-up appointments every 4 – 6 weeks at Bass River Dental to have the fit of your aligners checked and to have more digital impressions taken so new sets of aligners can be made. The length of time that you use the Invisalign teeth straightening system will vary based on the original position of your teeth and your cosmetic goals, but most patients wear aligners for about one year.
What Invisalign Can Do For You
Once your teeth are in alignment, it is important to keep your teeth from moving back to their old position. Invisalign Vivera® retainers are designed with the same comfortable materials to help keep your teeth in place after your treatment is complete. Each retainer is custom made at the Invisalign dental laboratory based on digital impressions taken once your treatment is complete. A member of our team of dental professionals will talk to you about how often to wear your retainer, and how to care for it once it is sent from the lab. We will continue to watch your teeth alignment and bite during your annual dental exams to ensure your teeth remain in the correct position.
For most patients, some of their Invisalign treatment cost is covered by dental insurance. Our front office will confirm your benefits and calculate your personal costs. Bass River Dental accepts many different payment methods for patients who do not have dental insurance. During your initial consultation, our financial team can go over your estimated costs and ways to make your treatment more affordable, including flexible payment plans and medical financing.
