What are all-on-4® Dental Implants?
All-on-4 dental implants, manufactured by Nobel Biocare, offer a comprehensive way to secure dentures for a full-arch restoration. This process works by inserting the screws (dental implants) into four areas on each arch. Compared to other implant dentures, All-on-4 uses fewer implants for a secure fit. Dentist Dr. Peter Russo recommends All-on-4 implants for patients who are looking for a fully restored smile without the hassle and dietary restrictions that come with removable dentures. Many South Yarmouth, MA patients have reaped the benefits of the groundbreaking All-on-4 procedure, enjoying high-quality results. If you are interested in finding out more about All-on-4 implants and custom dentures, we invite you to schedule an appointment at Bass River Dental.
Who should get ALL-ON-4® DENTAL IMPLANTS?
All-on-4 implants can be used to replace one or both arches with dental implants attached to custom dentures. You may be an ideal candidate for All-on-4 implants in case you prefer the benefits of implanted dentures over removable dentures, which include few or no dietary restrictions, no messy adhesives, and no special cleaning. You will need to have good bone and gum density in order to be a candidate, as the screws will rely on your bone and gums to hold them in place. If needed, bone and/or gum grafts may be performed before the implants can be placed. We can determine whether this procedure is right for you during your initial consultation and can help discuss all of your options.
"The best staff. So professional and helpful!!"- T.D. / Facebook / May 26, 2021
"After more than 6 months, Aspen Dental could not make my dentures fit. I fired them and chose the closest dentist to my home. It was Bass River.... after going toothless for so long and making so many trips to Aspen for adjustments that did nothing, I had lost hope. Dr Pete and crew not only managed to make my dentures wearable but they laugh at my jokes too! Thanks"- M.S. / Google / May 01, 2021
"As a new patient I found It was a wonderful, homey, friendly, down to earth office. Felt very comfortable and well cared for. The office staff, Dr. Russo and my hygienist Kelly Holland were terrific. She was thorough, professional, knowledgeable and kind. It was a very positive experience all around. Would recommend this dental office with no reservations."- J.C. / Google / Apr 30, 2021
"The best experience I’ve had with a dental clinic in a very long time. From reception to the hygienist- which she did the most comprehensive and deep cleaning of my teeth EVER. The dentist is easy going and skilled. Very pleasant experience even through extractions. The dental assistant is so efficient that the doctor rarely has to ask for something. She has it in hand before he has to. Unlike my last dentist who had to ask (seemingly unassured) what he needed next. Sometimes leaving me alone to search for what was needed from another room. I’m very happy I have found #bassriverdental @bassriverdental to restore the multiple problems my last dentist left me with. They also take dental insurance !!! Great experience all around. how do ALL-ON-4® DENTAL IMPLANTS work?
The first step in the All-on-4 process is to take digital scans and x-rays of your teeth. Our team of dental professionals will create your unique treatment plan and discuss your options for sedation during the process. In your first appointment, the implants will be placed in your gums and jawbone. We will place a temporary denture over the implants while your mouth heals and your custom dentures are being made. After several months, you will return to have your custom dentures attached and adjusted for a comfortable fit.
What does recovery look like?
You may experience some discomfort and pain in your gums after implant surgery. While you are wearing your temporary dentures, there will be some diet restrictions and cleaning instructions to follow. You will also come in for regular follow-ups during the healing period so we can check your progress and make sure the implants are integrating into your gums and bone as they should be. Once your custom dentures are placed, you can clean them like natural teeth with daily brushing and flossing. You should continue to visit Bass River Dental for annual exams and bi-annual cleanings to maintain your dentures, and so that our dental team can monitor the health of your gums and jawbone.
What do ALL-ON-4® DENTAL IMPLANTS cost?
Certain insurance plans may offer limited coverage for All-on-4 implants and custom dentures. It is likely that there will be some out-of-pocket costs, but our team will work with your insurance company to maximize your coverage. If you do not have insurance, Bass River Dental accepts many payment methods, including low-interest medical financing. Our team can work with you to help make your All-on-4 treatment as affordable as possible.
